Two new members, Diane Daniels Manning and Dean Ogan, have recently joined the Board of Directors at the Lucy Daniels Center.

Dr. Diane Manning began her career as a teacher and then as a professor of education at University of Connecticut and Tufts University before accepting Chair of the Department of Education at Tulane University.  She served as a consultant to various organizations including World Health Organization’s Global Task Force on Children with AIDS, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the U.S. Army.  After being certified by the American Psychoanalytic Association in child, adolescent and adult psychoanalysis, she and Dr. Farley co-founded The New School in the Heights (a therapeutic school in Houston, TX) where she served as hands-on Executive Director.

Dean Ogan’s Rocky Top Catering and Southland BBQ Catering are full service catering companies serving the Triangle and surrounding areas. Rocky Top operates several event venues, including 1705 East in Raleigh, NC, and Cross + Main in Youngsville, NC, specializing in weddings, corporate functions and other special events. They are also the exclusive caterer for the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, The Blue Zone at Kenan Stadium and the UNC Friday Center. Named one of the Triangle’s Top Corporate Philanthropists by the Triangle Business Journal, Mr. Ogan and his employees are actively involved in giving back to the community and supporting its local efforts, including Lucy Daniels Center’s Cooking For A Classic, happening for the second year in a row (January 2018),
