Administrative Staff
Donald Rosenblitt, M.D.
Clinical and Executive Director
Dr. Rosenblitt is a child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst and is the founding and current clinical and executive director of the Lucy Daniels Center. He completed his medical training and residencies in adult and child psychiatry at Duke University School of Medicine and is a graduate and former director of the UNC-Duke Psychoanalytic Education Program, currently called the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child Psychiatry at UNC. He is a national leader in a number of organizations concerned with the mental health of children. Dr. Rosenblitt has published and presented locally and nationally on topics related to child development and early intervention.
Deborah Mugno, Ed.D.
School Director
Dr. Mugno has over 22 years of experience in the fields of early childhood and early intervention. She holds a B.S. in special education from the University of Maryland and both an M.S. in education/reading and an Ed.D. in special education/leadership from Johns Hopkins University. She spent many years as an early intervention specialist and administrator in Maryland and has taught early childhood classes at several community colleges in North Carolina as well as at Meredith College. She has an extensive background in early intervention research and speaks frequently at both state and national early childhood conferences. Dr. Mugno was the Education Director at the Lucy Daniels Center from 1996 through 2003 and returned in 2010.
Susan Eder, M.D
Associate Director and Parent Therapist, Early Intervention Program
Dr. Eder is the Center's associate director and a parent therapist in the Early Intervention Program. She completed her training in adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry at the Payne-Whitney Clinic of the New York Hospital and was an assistant professor of child psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Dr. Eder has served as parent therapist and member of the EIP therapeutic team since 1998.
Clarenda Stanley, CFRE

As of February 5, 2012, Clarenda Stanley will assume the role of Director of Development & Communications. Stanley comes to the Lucy Daniels Center with more than ten years of extensive fundraising and marketing experience in the non-profit and educational arena. In addition to her experience in fundraising, Stanley brings a mental health background, an ability to organize events, and enthusiasm for the cause to the Director of Development position. She graduated with a BSBA in marketing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and received a Master of Education with a concentration in psychology and counseling from Troy University. Stanley has also earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, the only internationally-recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives.
Sherry Glen
Office Manager
Mrs. Glen is the Center's office manager. She has more than 30 years of office administration experience and has been at the Center since July 1995.
Seinna Means
Administrator, Family Guidance Service
Mrs. Means is the Family Guidance Service administrator and has been with the Center since 2007. Sienna has more than 10 years of office administration, insurance billing, and Spanish interpretation experience.
Cathy Crane
Bookkeeper

Mrs. Crane has been the bookkeeper for the Center since 1994. She has 20+ years experience in her field.
Wendy Tomblin
Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Tomblin is the assistant to the executive and education directors of the Lucy Daniels Center. She has more than 15 years experience in non-profit organization and childcare management.
Patti Wilt
Development Assistant

Mrs. Wilt is has been the development assistant since February 2007. Prior to that she was administrative assistant to the Family Guidance Service (FGS) at the Center. Patti has more than 16 years of healthcare and administrative experience.

Barbara Snider, M.D.
Parent Therapist and Admissions Officer, Early Intervention Program; and Consultant, Child Enrichment Program
Dr. Snider is a child psychiatrist. She is in continued training in psychoanalysis through the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Snider is a parent therapist, Early Intervention Program admissions officer, and Child Enrichment Program consultant and has been fulfilling these roles at the Center since 2000.
Kathy Kelly
Teacher
Mrs. Kelly joined our staff in the fall of 2006. Mrs. Kelly's prior work experience was in the public relations field. She is also a long-time volunteer with children in elementary, middle, and high schools in the Wake County Public School System.
Tiffany Hall
Teacher
Ms. Hall joined the Lucy Daniels Center staff in 2010. She brings more than 10 years of experience in working with young children. She holds a B.A. in Child Development and Learning from Maryville College in Tennessee and an M.S. in Early Childhood with a Special Education endorsement from Kansas State University. She is a teacher of four-year olds in the Child Enrichment Program.
Theresa Sterlina
Teacher of transitional-kindergarten
Mrs. Sterlina joined our staff in 2002. She has an A.A.S. degree in early childhood education from Maria College in New York and a B.S. degree in elementary education from the University of Connecticut. Mrs. Sterlina has taught children ages 2-4 in the Child Enrichment Program and children ages 3-6 in the Early Intervention Program.

Marilyn Farrell
Teacher
Ms. Farrell returned to the Lucy Daniels Center staff for the 2011-2012 school year, where she teaches in the EIP classroom. She taught in both the CEP and EIP classrooms from 1997-2000. She brings over 20 years experience working with young children. Ms. Farrell holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Mount Olive College as well as an Associate of Arts Degree from the Colorado Art Institute.
David Fuller, M. D.
Parent Therapist, Early Intervention Program
Dr. Fuller is a child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, serving as a parent therapist and a member of the therapeutic team. He completed his training in adult and child psychiatry at Duke University and in adult and child psychoanalysis at the Duke-UNC Psychoanalytic Education Program (now the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas). Dr. Fuller has been a parent therapist and member of the Early Intervention Program therapeutic team since 1995.
Fletcher Moore
Teacher
Ms. Moore joined our staff in 2010 as a teacher in the Early Intervention Program. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in family studies from Arizona State University. Ms. Moore has worked in early childhood education since 2006.
Jennifer Murphy
Teacher
Ms. Murphy joined our staff in August 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in social work from Frostburg State University in Maryland and had seven years of experience in mental health and early childhood development positions. She received her certification as a Certified Psychoanalytic Educator (CPE) during the summer of 2011. Ms. Murphy currently teaches in the preschool Early Intervention Program classroom.
Jennifer Reid
Teacher/Associate Director of Education
Mrs. Reid joined our staff in 2005 and has taught in the Child Enrichment Program, the Early Intervention Program Preschool, and currently teaches in the Early Intervention Program Kindergarten. She has a Master's degree in early childhood and elementary education from New York University, an early childhood teacher credential from the American Montessori Society, and the professional credential of Certified Psychoanalytic Educator (CPE). Ms. Reid has taught preschool and kindergarten aged children since 2001.
Daphne Rosenblitt, M.D.
Parent Therapist, Early Intervention Program
Dr. Rosenblitt is a parent therapist and has been a member of the Early Intervention Program therapeutic team since 2006. She received her training in adult and child psychiatry at Duke University and her analytic training through the Duke-UNC Psychoanalytic Education Program (now the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas), where she is currently on the faculty. Dr. Rosenblitt also has a private practice of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in Durham.
Barbara Snider, M.D.

Family Guidance Service Staff
Adam Berkowitz, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Mr. Berkowitz joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in January 2010. He earned his Master of Social Work from Fordham University and has post-graduate training in psychoanalysis from the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). Mr. Berkowitz has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in foster care, family court, school and community mental health settings, as well as in private practice.
Allison Ballew, Ph.D.
Mental Health Clinician
Dr. Ballew is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and received her Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee. She joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in 2007. She also had four years of experience in community mental healthcare for children in Tennessee.
Teresa Greco, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Ms. Greco joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in March 2005. She is a graduate of the Smith College School for Clinical Social Work. Ms. Greco brings with her psychodynamic training, supervisory experience, and several years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families. Before coming to Lucy Daniels Center, Ms. Greco most recently worked at the UNC School of Medicine treating maternal substance abuse.
Emily Layton, P-L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Ms. Layton joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in May 2011. She is a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work. Ms. Layton has experience working with children and parents at the Dorothea Dix Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic as well as teaching in the Early Intervention Program classroom at the Center. She has also completed coursework through the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas. In addition to working with the Family Guidance Service, Ms. Layton will be a co-leader of the First Friends social skills group.
Ashley McCormick, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Ms. McCormick graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work. She joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in April 2004. Previously, she worked with children and parents at the Dorothea Dix Child Outpatient Clinic, as well as working with adults on an inpatient psychiatric unit and juvenile offenders through a community agency.
Sara McLaughlin, Psy.D.
Mental Health Clinician
Dr. McLaughlin is a graduate of Bowdoin College. She earned her doctorate degree at Antioch University New England. She joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in 2012. Dr. McLaughlin has experience working with children and families at outpatient clinics in New England. Most recently, she worked with adults at a VA hospital, with a specialization in recovery from trauma.
Jamie Miller, Psy.D.
Mental Health Clinician
Dr. Miller is a graduate of Drexel University. She earned a master's degree in counseling at Villanova University and a doctorate at Albizu University. She joined the staff of the Family Guidance Service in 2007. Dr. Miller has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. Her previous employment at All Kinds of Minds has provided her specialization in testing for learning differences from a neurodevelopmental framework.
Anna Quarles, L.C.S.W., M.P.H.
Mental Health Clinician
Mrs. Quarles joined the staff of the Family Guidance Services in March 2010. She is a graduate of Bucknell University with a double major in Psychology and Spanish and has earned dual masters degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to coming to the Cetner, she worked with adolescents and their families at Central Regional Hospital's inpatient Child and Adolescent Unit. Mrs. Quarles has also worked with adults on an inpatient psychiatric unit and is currently completing coursework through the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas.

Alison Silver, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician

Ms. Silver is a graduate of the University of Georgia. She received a master's degree in clinical social work from UNC-Chapel Hill and completed a clinical fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. She joined the staff of SecurePath in November 2009 as a therapist. Her previous experience includes working with children and families in schools, outpatient clinics and in a residential program.
Jessica Soule, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Ms. Soule graduated from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work. She joined the staff of SecurePath in May 2006 as a bilingual therapist. Previously she worked with children at risk of removal from their homes and their families, as well as adolescent substance abusers in an inpatient setting.
Sarah Stevens, L.C.S.W.

Ms. Stevens is a graduate of Guilford College. She joined the staff of SecurePath in 2004 as a bilingual therapist. She received a master's degree in clinical social work from UNC-Chapel Hill. Ms. Stevens has experience working with international women at a domestic violence center in Atlanta. She has also worked as a bi-lingual therapist with children, adolescents and their families in Wake County at the Institute for Family-Centered Services.
