Lucy Daniels Center Featured in Triangle Business Journal Biz Column: This is one song Biz can sing along to.

June 19, 2009: Band Together NC will donate more than $125,000 to the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, which helps children 11 or younger who have behavioral or social difficulties.

The organization raised the money through sponsorships and ticket sales to a June 6 concert featuring Rusted Root, The Rosebuds and Chatham County Line at the Lincoln Theatre as well as individual donations, a raffle for signed guitars, and a silent auction.

"To be able to raise more than $125,000 during tough economic times is an incredible accomplishment that the Lucy Daniels Center Baord, Band Together Board and all the volunteers should be extremely proud of," says Joyce Watkins King, director of development for the Lucy Daniels Center.
