CARY, NC—Bookmarked! 2014, a one-day annual celebration of reading, music and family fun will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at Cary Performance Green in downtown Cary. Geared to encourage healthy social and emotional development and foster a love of reading, Bookmarked! features local “celebrity-hero” readers, musicians, games and arts activities, and doubles as a fundraiser.
“Bookmarked! 2014 will raise support to benefit some very special people. Proceeds from the event benefit three important Cary organizations working to better lives for more than 1,000 children in our communities each year: Dorcas Ministries; Lucy Daniels Center; and Cary Creative (reuse) Center,” said long-time Cary residents Ralph and Daphne Ashworth, who are serving as Bookmarked! 2014 Honorary Co-Chairs.
Sponsorship of Bookmarked! 2014 helps support each of these organizations’ education and community outreach programs.
“We are thrilled to connect with the hundreds of discerning parents who are dedicated to investing in the development of their children and the well-being of their growing families,” said Dr. Donald Rosenblitt, Executive and Clinical Director of Lucy Daniels Center.
