The Lucy Daniels Center (LDC) recently was awarded two grants: one for $7,000 from the Duke Energy Foundation, and one for $5,000 from the John William Pope Foundation.
Both grants will go towards programs offered by LDC, which is the largest regional provider of mental health services for children from birth to age 12, the time of life when the most effective interventions are possible.
"We are grateful for both these grants in support of our comprehensive programs for children and families," said Dr. Don Rosenblitt, Executive and Clinical Director of LDC. "Duke Energy Foundation has been a longtime supporter, while the gift from the John William Pope Foundation is a first for us."
Lucy Daniels Center serves more than 600 children and their families annually with 20,000 hours of direct mental-health services for children up to age 12. LDC also provides nearly $300,000 each year in financial support to families receiving LDC services.
