The Lucy Daniels Center will present an exclusive screening of the film For Grace on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. at the IMAX Theatre, Marbles Kids Museum, downtown Raleigh. A reception will follow, thanks to sponsors Catering Works and the Raleigh Wine Shop.

For Grace follows Chicago chef Curtis Duffy as he opens his top-rated, Michelon 3 Star restaurant Grace. It is a moving, intense look at Duffy's love of cooking; the perils and pitfalls of designing and opening a restaurant; and the support of a high-school teacher who helped him cope with a tragic family background.NOTE: The film is not suitable for children under 12.

Duffy will be appearing at the Expressions gala on October 23, benefiting the Lucy Daniels Center's mental health programs for children. The event, taking place at The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, will feature Duffy cooking alongside guest chef Mike Lata of Charleston (FIG, The Ordinary) and chefs Steven Devereaux Greene and Jonathan Fischer of the Umstead to produce a magnificent, one-of-a-kind gourmet meal with wine pairings.

Tickets to the For Grace film and reception are $15, and available through the IMAX box office or at the door.

Tickets to Expressions VI are available through Brown Paper Tickets.
