Cary, N.C. -- The Lucy Daniels Center (LDC) has recently been notified of three grant awards for support of children's mental health programs in the Triangle.
- The Mead Family Foundation awarded $10,000. This was the second award in a two-year award cycle.
- The Town of Cary awarded $5,000 as part of its annual grants program.
- The Lucy Daniels Foundation awarded $300,000 in a grant for general operating support.
LDC is grateful for this outstanding support enabling more than 500 families a year to benefit from programs including Family Guidance Services therapy for children and their parents at the LDC campus; SecurePath therapy in English and Spanish for primarily Medicaid-eligible families; the Lucy Daniels School, a therapeutic school for children preschool through grade 5; and Early Success, which offers free assessments of children in their schools or childcare centers, free educational workshops for parents, the First Friends social skills program for preschool through kindergarten and more.
