Clarenda Stanley, director of development for Lucy Daniels Center, noted that the purpose of the Bookmarked!festival is two-fold.

“To have a healthy, vibrant community, you must have healthy, vibrant children. Bookmarked! helps ensure just that by increasing the community’s awareness of how reading with children encourages emotional health and an appetite for books,” she said. “Bookmarked! also provides critical funding for the Lucy Daniels Center so that all families, regardless of income, have access to our award-winning child mental health and education programs.”
