The Lucy Daniels Center will host an Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser breakfast, on Saturday, July 26, from 8-10 a.m. at Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar on 501 E. Six Forks Rd. to support the Center’s Family Support Fund.
The Center believes that all children, regardless of background or family income, should have access to high-quality mental health services in order to grow emotionally from the inside out to accomplish a change that lasts. Because these services are sometimes out of financial reach for families in need of help, the Center raises funds to offset the cost of services.
Tickets are $7.00 and can be purchased by contacting the Center at 919.677.1400 or firstname.lastname@example.org or at the breakfast.
Michael Olander, Apple Gold President/CEO, serves on the Lucy Daniels Center Board of Advisors and has been extremely supportive of the Center’s programs. As a result, the Apple Gold Group headquartered in Raleigh, NC, has committed to a partnership with the Lucy Daniels Center in combination with Applebee’s restaurants to support charitable fundraising.
“We are very fortunate to have this great partnership between the Lucy Daniels Center and Apple Gold (Applebee’s parent company),” says Hunter Marshall, Lucy Daniels Center board member. “Comfort food and Lucy Daniels make a perfect match, as the Center’s philosophy is based on a commitment to each child’s well-being.”
More than 90% of families served at the Center pay less than the full cost of treatment, and one family in six receives services for free. Through the Family Support Fund, the Center provides the individualized treatment to allow each child to overcome his/her challenges no matter the family's economic status.
