Thank you to the wonderful chefs who are participating in Cooking for a Classic, helping raise funds for the Lucy Daniels Center's mental health services for children. As part of their involvement, chefs are furnishing amazing silent auction packages for the night on which they are competing.

The winning chef that night have will have his package move on with him to his next competition slot; the runner-up's package will go to the highest bidder at the end of the night. Here they are: *

Feb. 20: Chef Dean Thompson, Renaissance Raleigh: Chef’s Table/Cooking Class in the Kitchen for 10-12 people. Includes six courses with pairings. Chef Rich Carter, Catering Works, Raleigh: Gourmet lunch for 10 people prepared by Chef Carter, delivered to your home or office.

Feb. 21: Chef Donaldo Guzman, Sitti: Dinner for 10 at Sitti. Chef Nick Fay, Vidrio: Cooking class for 2 along with Chef Nick. We will prepare a cook a three-course meal with a focus on cooking techniques, knife cuts and building flavors.

Feb. 22: Chef Scott James, Angus Barn: Father's Day teaching kitchen event for 8. Come enjoy a private cooking experience with Chef James in the Angus Barn Pavilion, June 18, 2017. Chef Eric Gephart, Kamado Joe: Private cooking class for 8 with Chef Eric with drink pairings by a master mixologist.

Feb. 27: Chef Tim Bocholis, Bistro B: Dinner for 4 couples (8 total) at your home with a tapas and wine theme. Chef Trey Cleveland, Top of the Hill: TOPO distillery tour for 10.

Feb. 28: Chef Clark Barlowe, Heirloom: Foraging at home with Chef Clark. Chef Clark will come to your home, teach you about wild edibles nearby and how to cook them, then prepare dinner for up to 6. For summer 2017. Chef James Patterson, McConnell Golf Dining Team: Round of golf for four with cart at Sedgefield CC with lunch during play. Afterwards, private four-course dinner for four at Sedgefield with menu planned by host and Chef Patterson.

March 1: Chef Jonathan Ballard, Sassool: Private cooking class for 10 at Sassool, north Raleigh. Chef Tom Havrish, Lugano's: Six-course wine dinner for up to 12 people with guest speaker in private room at Lugano.

March 6: Chef Adam Pettigrew, Pups: A private dinner for 8 people to include charcuterie, appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert plus wine, beer or cocktail pairings, to be held at Pups in Wilson or at host's home. Also includes a $50 gift card for all 8 guests to either Pups Steakhouse or the restaurant of their choice. Chef Teddy Klopf, Provenance: A customized eight-course tasting menu with pairings for four at Provenance, hosted by Chef Teddy.

March 7: Chef Troy Stauffer, City Club Raleigh: Degustation menu for 6 at City Club Raleigh along with wine and beverage pairings, prepared personally by Executive Chef Stauffer and Sommelier Patrick Eward. Chef R.J. St. John, Bull McCabes: Six tickets to Carolina Theatre plus 2 lawn tickets to a LUEWWD sporting event (includes 2 t-shirts). Cookout on the lawn for 6 at Bull McCabes with a 3-course meal cooked onsite by Chef R.J. and his chefs.
